Erasmus Multicultural Associations (EMA)
Erasmus Multicultural Associations (EMA) is an umbrella organization active at EUR since 2018. EMA represents, facilitates and coordinates thirteen cultural and social associations with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion at the Erasmus University for all students. They all strive to share their respective cultural heritage with the student community, by organizing several events of different nature, raising awareness of concepts like inclusion and diversity on campus, and offering students a foothold where they can lean on for any information needed or personal problem (e.g. homesickness).
Being the Erasmus University very diverse and international, EMA’s task becomes crucial in guaranteeing that all the students will feel home, even if they are distant miles and miles away from their families. The aim is that students get to create a new family while attending one of the top Universities in Europe, by building memories and experiences that will stick with them for the rest of their working and personal lives.
