Erasmus Debating Society is the best place to improve your public speaking skills, critical thinking and argumentation. We are the oldest, largest and most international debating society in the Netherlands!
We host debates every week for people of all skill levels, and we do internal workshops so you can improve your own debating skills.

Next to shaping you into amazing debaters, EDS is also a great place to make new friends. Every week after the debates we all go to a bar to drink, have fun and get to know our fellow debaters. We also host a fun social for our members every month, with activities like karaoke,
ice skating, and drunk debates!

But that’s not all! Additionally we visit debating competitions across the Netherlands and all overEurope. Places like Oxford, Reims, and Copenhagen. These trips are a great way to discover different cultures, meet new people, and improve your debating even more! The society even sponsors your registration fee for these competitions, so it’s also a cheap option for travel.
